Our group welcomes anyone who is curious about life, the universe and everything.
We sometimes focus on science, technology or engineering, but we do cover any subject that members might find interesting.
Previous talks have included such diverse subjects as:
- The Canal Trust
- UK Space Agency
- Unusual and interesting weather
- What it’s like to run a Museum
- Power supply storage
We aim to keep talks accessible to all and without any jargon, to engage everyone whatever their background and knowledge.

Presentations are by members and external speakers, followed by open discussion and refreshments.
We meet every second Friday of the month (except August).
From 2pm – 4pm.
At Meadowcroft Community Centre, Addison Crescent, Upper Stratton, SN2 7JX.
(It may appear as ‘Stratton St Margaret Parish Council’ on some maps.)
The room hire fee for 2024/2025 is £5 each. This is collected by the Swindon u3a administration.
There is also a £2 annual fee to cover refreshments and group admin. This is collected by the group organiser at meetings.
