2 (of 3) Web Programming Further Information
When:
Monday
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Frequency: 2nd and 4th Monday of the month from 13th February 2017 Next meeting: Mon, 26-Nov-18
Where: Organiser's home
Organiser: Alex Cranswick
Status: Spaces Limit: none given Email the group organisers
Description: Learn how to programme a website with HTML, PHP and SQL. So what could you be learning? How to create an article for the web and then access it from the website. How to make the article dynamic, so, for instance, if it had information in it that varied for each year, that could happen automatically. How to create a form on the web that can be completed by a user. How to store the data collected and display it again for editing. What are the pre-requisites? An inquiring mind, a flair for organisation and a reasonable familiarity with a PC and the web are good starting attributes. If you have used a spreadsheet with some of the in-cell programming facilities, such as functions or logical tests, or macros then you have already started with the basics of programming.
