Description: Learn about orienteering maps and navigation. Try this exciting sport where you can walk, jog or run as you please and find your way between checkpoints. Learn the basics in a few sessions in different Swindon Parks(Coate Water, Lydiard and The Lawns), try out your skills in a local wood (West Woods, Marlborough) and attend organised orienteering events. Comfortable clothing and footwear (eg trainers) for ease of movement and appropriate to weather are recommended. Costs are £1 pp for local sessions to cover cost of printing maps and materials.
